Frequently Asked Questions
Why is MSRP not in the payment math?
The negotiated price sets the capitalized cost; MSRP is for your reference when comparing deals.
How is the depreciation fee calculated?
Depreciation fee = (Capitalized cost − Residual value) ÷ Lease term. The full negotiated price (gross capitalized cost) is used here, as depreciation reflects the total vehicle value loss regardless of how much you put down.
What is the lease fee?
The finance (rent) charge = (Lease price + Residual value) × money factor, where money factor = lending APR ÷ 2400 and lease price = negotiated price − down payment.
Why won’t it calculate?
The residual value must be less than the negotiated price, and down payment must be less than the negotiated price.
