It can be fairly argued that Nani is one of the biggest names in the tier 2 heroes segment in Tollywood, if not the biggest name. But his market has been capped at a certain limit and he is struggling to breach this mark.
Making matters worse, Nani is set to face a big jolt as a rather smaller film, Tillu Square is beating the full box office run collections of Hi Nanna in just 4 days.
Tillu Square has reportedly grossed over Rs 68 crores in three days and it is to enter the Rs 80 crores zone today, making it a smashing blockbuster of epic proportion. At this rate, Hi Nanna's full run collections should be broken by Tillu Sqaure by tomorrow which will mean that Siddhu starrer will beat Nani's film in just 5 days.
Nani has mostly been stuck up with non commercial films (barring Dasara) which capped hi market at a limit. It has reached a point where Siddhu is able to beat Nani's full run collections in just 5 days.
Perhaps it is time for Nani to amp up his work rate and start making films that have not just great commercial value but can also bring the audience to the theaters in big numbers.
