Dhamaka has exceeded the expectations to collect a very impressive Rs 15.37 crores in its opening weekend, much to the delight of everyone involved.
The routine film tag and the moderate reviews haven't tampered the box office performance of the film as it has gone on a strong run at the box office and looks set to emerge as the biggest hit in Ravi Teja's career. The second weekend will be the key for this film.
Then there's 18 Pages which had collected Rs 4.80 crores at the box office in the opening weekend. After a blockbuster Karthikeya 2, Nikhil would've hoped for a strong run for 18 Pages but that isn't to be as the film is stuttering.
But the majority of 18 Pages investment has been recovered through the non theatricals so the film is already in the safe zone.
