Kannada superstar Rishab Shetty has carved a name for himself with blockbuster Kantara. He is now elated the film has received not one but two Oscars nominations.
“We are overjoyed to share that 'Kantara' has received 2 Oscar qualifications! A heartfelt thank you to all who have supported us. We look forward to share this journey ahead with all of your support. Can’t wait to see it shine at the #Oscars” Rishab tweeted a short while ago.
This comes as a huge accreditation not just for Kantara but the entire Kannada film industry.
The Variety magazine described Kantara as “Explore the depth of Indian culture and tradition through the film that showcases man vs nature conflict and the impact of the caste system. A cinematic masterpiece that is not to be missed. A contender for the best film at the Oscars.”
Indian cinema legend Kamal Haasan too appreciated the team over the same. Reacting to the same, Rishab wrote “ It means a lot to receive such a lovely message from Legend of Indian Cinema.
