One of the main points raised by Minister Ravi was the problem of inflated liquor prices in 3-star and 4-star hotels, a situation that emerged during the tenure of the YCP government. To tackle this, he promised to facilitate discussions between the Tourism and Excise departments to develop a solution. The government plans to introduce a new brand of liquor designed to offer quality products at affordable prices, making it more accessible to the average consumer.
In a bid to modernize liquor sales, the government is also set to establish smart liquor stores in high-density population areas. This initiative aims to enhance customer experience and streamline operations.
