It is known that YS Sharmila is the newly appointed president of Congress's Andhra Pradesh wing and she commenced her duties today. She took an RTC bus to interact with the public. Shortly after that, she came up against her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy directly.
"You know the situation in Andhra state better than I do. If our state got special status, the development of the state would have been much better. Both TDP and YCP cheated in getting special status. Chandrababu who talked about special status for 15 years forgot it after coming to power." Sharmila said about CBN and then started calling out her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy.
"And when Jagan was the leader of the opposition, he promised that if 25 MPs were given, he would get the status. I traveled by bus from Srikakulam to Ichhapuram and talked to women and asked about their problems. It is heartbreaking to see their suffering. Jagan said that alcohol is prohibited but alcohol is everywhere. He said that if alcohol is not banned, he will not ask for votes but that didn't happen. If the Congress party wins, it will surely get special status. Rahul Gandhi said that the first signature will be on special status. So every Congress worker should work like an army." Sharmila said.
Sharmila directly taking on Jagan and that too to this extent is becoming a tough nut to swallow for hardcore supporters of the YS family across Andhra Pradesh.
