Authorities are investigating a targeted attack on a Tesla Collision Center in Las Vegas that resulted in multiple Tesla vehicles being set ablaze and shot at during an overnight incident. According to CNN, the attack occurred at the Tesla service center where several vehicles were damaged, including two that were fully engulfed in flames. The FBI is currently investigating the incident, stating that it bears some hallmarks of terrorism. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, in coordination with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, is working to identify the perpetrator responsible for this shocking act of violence.
 

The incident took place late at night when an unknown assailant approached the Tesla Collision Center and began targeting parked vehicles. Authorities revealed that the suspect used Molotov cocktails to ignite the flames and also fired gunshots at several Tesla cars. In addition to the destruction, the word "RESIST" was spray-painted across the front doors of the business, further suggesting a targeted and symbolic attack. During a press conference, Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department described the situation as an intentional assault on Tesla property. "This was a targeted attack against a Tesla facility. Officers discovered several vehicles on fire as well as the word ‘Resist' spray-painted on the front doors of the business," Koren stated.  Surveillance footage captured the suspect dressed entirely in black, walking calmly between the vehicles while appearing to reach into a bag, possibly to retrieve more incendiary devices. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the Las Vegas Fire Department successfully extinguished the flames before they could spread to the vehicles' lithium-ion batteries, preventing a potentially catastrophic fire.
 

Tesla CEO Elon Musk swiftly condemned the attack, labeling it as an act of terrorism. Taking to social media, Musk described the violence as "insane and deeply wrong." He defended Tesla's operations, emphasizing that the company is committed to manufacturing electric vehicles and has done nothing to warrant such violent actions. "This level of violence is insane and deeply wrong. Tesla just makes electric cars and has done nothing to deserve these evil attacks," Musk wrote in a follow-up post. President Donald Trump also addressed the incident, condemning the attack and urging authorities to classify it as domestic terrorism. He called for a swift investigation and severe legal consequences for those responsible. US Attorney-General Pamela Bondi echoed these sentiments, strongly denouncing the attack as “nothing short of domestic terrorism.” In a statement, Bondi warned that law enforcement agencies would pursue not only the perpetrators but also anyone involved in coordinating or funding such criminal acts. "We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes," Bondi stated.
