The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted closure reports in two cases linked to the tragic death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The reports were filed in courts in Mumbai and Patna, where the CBI concluded that no evidence pointed to foul play in Rajput's death. The actor was found dead in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, 2020, with the initial postmortem report confirming suicide by hanging.
Following extensive media scrutiny and public speculation, Rajput's father, KK Singh, filed an FIR in Patna, accusing actress Rhea Chakraborty and others of abetment to suicide, financial fraud, and mental harassment. In response, Rhea Chakraborty countered with allegations that Rajput's sisters had facilitated a fake medical prescription for him.
After nearly four years of investigation, the CBI concluded that no criminal conspiracy or foul play contributed to Rajput’s death.
