Asmita Jitesh Patel, widely known as the "She-Wolf of the Stock Market" or "Options Queen," has come under scrutiny by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for allegedly engaging in unauthorised investment advisory activities. The popular YouTube financial influencer, known for her trading expertise and educational courses, has been barred from the capital markets by SEBI.The regulator’s investigation began after complaints from 42 investors, who accused Patel’s firm, Asmita Patel Global School of Trading Pvt Ltd (APGSOT), of offering unregistered investment advisory services. According to these investors, Patel used her proprietary system to amass assets worth Rs 140 crore, with many alleging that APGSOT misled them into making financial investments based on unauthorised advice.
SEBI has now ordered Patel, her firm, and several associated entities—including Jitesh Jethalal Patel, King Traders, Gemini Enterprise, and United Enterprises—to return over Rs 53 crore collected as course fees from participants of various trading programs. In addition, SEBI’s interim order-cum-show cause notice, issued on February 6, also directs the involved parties to explain why another Rs 104.63 crore, collected as fees for other programs, should not be seized. The regulator’s investigation revealed that participants were encouraged to quit their jobs and join Patel’s courses, including the Options Multiplier (OM), Master’s in Price Action Trading (MPAT), and Let’s Make India Trade (LMIT), in hopes of achieving substantial financial success. SEBI’s 129-page order provides detailed accounts of the violations and outlines the permanent ban imposed on Patel and the related entities from participating in the securities market.
