Saindhav Review: Weak and Incoherent Thriller

Saindhav Review: Weak and Incoherent Thriller
  • 16 May 2024 06:21 AM

Saindhav marks the collaboration of veteran star Venkatesh and upcoming director Sailesh Kolanu. The film released in theaters today and he let us see what is has to offer.

Story: Saindhav (Venkatesh) has a treacherous past that is loaded with violence. While he leads a happy life with his wife(Shraddha Srinath) and daughter in the current day, he is forced to go back to his old ways after he discovers that his daughter needs a syringe worth Rs 17 crores to battle a rare medical condition. What will Saindhav do now to save his daughter?

How did the actors perform?

Venkatesh has played a very intense role in the film. He wasn't seen in such an intense avatar in the recent past. He delivers full justice to the role with his fine performance in this tailor made role. He excels in the emotional sequences.

Shraddha Srinath has limited screen time and she does a fine job in this constrained space. Nawazuddin Siddiqui delivers a thumping performance.

What about the technical finesse?

The director, Sailesh has picked an intriguing premise and loaded it with action blocks. The action part works but there is no compelling drama to sustain the drive it. The music director Santosh Narayanan has put on a disaster class with his weak soundtrack. The making values are very good.

Kalki 2898 AD review

Kalki Review We don’t need to look beyond Indian epics for riveting, complex stories of good versus evil, superheroes and demons, darkness and dawn. In Kalki 2898 AD, director Nag Ashwin attempts an unusual meeting point of the past and the future by blending stories from the Mahabharata with a futuristic, dystopian science fiction world. He underlines that heroes are not born, but rise. The masterstroke l

Appudo Ippudo Eppudo - A disjointed romance crime drama

"Appudo Ippudo Eppudo" seems to be a classic example of a film that had potential but ultimately falls short due to a lackluster narrative and poor execution. Here's a breakdown based on your review: Story and Concept: The premise itself isn’t entirely without merit—a love triangle complicated by a former lover, a new girlfriend, and a dangerous gang. It's a setup ripe for tension, comedy, and drama. However, the execution s

K Ramp movie review: Kiran Abbavaram film milks a worn-out formula with crude humour test

If you meet K Ramp’s protagonist Kumar Abbavaram (played by Kiran Abbavaram), you would not want to bump into him again. He is entitled, born with a silver spoon, and gives up on studies because his father is already well to do. He has supposedly simple desires — wear a lungi and head out to a bar with friends, sip local beer, and groove to mass numbers. When he falls for a girl, Mercy (Yukti Thareja), he does not say ‘I love you’. He states, ‘Naa Peru Abbavaram… Istha neeku varam.’ (I am Abbava
