Vayuputra: Sithara Entertainments Announces Tollywood’s Next Big Animated Film

Tollywood is stepping into a bold new chapter with Vayuputra, an upcoming animated feature from Sithara Entertainments. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, who recently delivered the hit Thandel with Naga Chaitanya, the project is centered on the timeless story of Lord Hanuman. Scheduled for release during Dasara 2026, the film promises to offer audiences an entirely animated spectacle without the presence of live actors.

The announcement follows the overwhelming success of Mahavatar Narasimha, a film that proved animation can find wide acceptance among Indian audiences. Producers believe that while animated projects often cost less compared to star-driven live-action films, the true challenge lies in creating strong emotional depth and visual richness that resonates throughout the narrative. With Hanuman’s story already well-known, the filmmakers are focusing on elevating the tale through powerful animation and storytelling techniques designed to hold viewers’ attention.
