It is known that Tollywood has lined up multiple new outings for the remainder of 2024 as the likes of Pushpa 2 and Kalki 2898 are headed for theatrical release towards the latter half of the year.
The latest we hear is that the post theatrical OTT streaming rights of these biggies have been sold and they have fetched a huge price to say the least.
Firstly, we have Pushpa 2 which has reportedly sealed a deal in the range of Rs 275 crore. Netflix has paid this whopping amount of money for the OTT rights of the film.
The first part of Pushpa was a huge hit on Amazon Prime Video and as it appears, Netflix has invested heavily in the second part after looking at the success of the first part.
Coming to Kalki, we are hearing that again Netflix has invested heavily in this Prabhas starrer as there are reports that over Rs 100 crores were send on the OTT rights of this sci-fi thriller.
Netflix has invested nearly 350 crores on the two big outings from the Telugu film industry and the OTT giant will be hoping that these films will come good for them in the due course.
