KGF was a huge hit not just in theaters but also on OTT. It attracted the mass audience in big numbers and greatly helped the branding value of Amazon Prime Video.
So the expectations are naturally high in the OTT space for Prashanth Neel's new film, which is Salaar. The film had its theatrical release recently and the expectations are now on the OTT debut of the same.
In this context, the onus is now on Salaar to repeat KGF range rampage on OTT. The film will have to attract the masses in big numbers like the way KGF did for Amazon Prime Video.
Salaar has a bigger star than Yash, in the form of Prabhas so the expectations will be high right from the outset. Will the theatrical success of Salaar transcend into the OTT space? Netflix will be hoping for it.
Netflix didn't have a smashing blockbuster after RRR and it is about time that they stage a comeback with a mass outreach film like Salaar which has the potential to go big.
