The government of Andhra Pradesh had been coming down heavily on the film industry by imposing restrictions in ticket prices and also canceling the permissions for special shows.
However, there are certain exception when a film can get additional hikes in AP. Same thing happened with Acharya and Sarkaru Vaari Paata recently.
However, things are different in the case of Salaar which is set for release on the 22nd of this month. The makers of the film have applied for ticket price hikes up to Rs 100.
But the government of Andhra Pradesh hasn't yet permitted the ticket hikes. They have issued a new circular that they are ready to permit Rs 40 hikes and that is it. The Rs 100 hikes proposed by the makers of the Prabhas starrer wasn't approved by the government.
This is leading to a tense situation for the buyers of Salaar as the film heads for its theatrical release in just 3 days from now. This delay from the government of AP is unexpected.
