Manjummel Boys is the highest grossing Malayalam film ever as it reportedly grossed over Rs 200 crores at the global box office. It is also the first ever Mallu film to gross over Rs 200 crore.
As the theatrical run of the film draws to a close, there is an increased expectation on the OTT release aspect of the Malayalam box office blockbuster.
But as per the latest reliable reports, the post theatrical OTT streaming rights of Manjummel Boys are with Disney+ Hotstar and the film could be streaming on the platform from the 3rd of May.
Manjummel Boys is a survival thriller that revolves around a few Mallu youths trapped inside a cave in Tamil Nadu. The film is inspired by real incidents and hence it struck a chord with the audience.
Can the film repeat its wonderous theatrical run with an equally strong run on OTT and turn out to be a winner for Disney+ Hotstar? We shall wait and watch.
