All the while, it was unpleasantly common for morphed pictures of actresses to surface on social media. But with the invention of advanced technologies like DeepFake, we are now seeing multiple morphed and sexualized videos of actresses on social media.
In one such video, we see Rashmika Mandanna's face morphed into a video of another social media influencer. This video went viral on social media and was extensively reshared by many.
This is clearly a sexualized video and it is used to make believe that Rashmika wore an extremely revealing outfit in the same. However it was later established that DeepFake technology was used to morph Rashmika's face into the video of another social media influencer.
There is now a commotion against the use of these morphs on social media to create imagery of actresses. At this rate, every actress will fall prey to these morph videos and could well take a toll on their mental health as these videos tend to go viral all the time.
Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has also reacted to Rashmika's viral morphed video as he wrote "yes this is a strong case for legal".
