Prabhas and Prashanth Neel's Salaar is all set to vacate the 28 September slot and move to a later date. The film is getting postponed due to the delay in the post production and the makers will announce the same in the next couple of days.
In this connection, we are hearing that the makers of Salaar are set to lock a new release date for the film and the Sankranthi slot is very much in contention for the same.
The makers of Salaar are said to be eyeing 11 January as the possible release date for the film and this would mean that the film will lock a Sankranthi release.
This comes as a rude shock to Mahesh Babu's Guntur Karam which had already locked 12 January release date. This film was the only big superstar film to arrive next Sankranthi all the while but things are to change now with the arrival of Salaar.
Salaar could be locking the 11 January slot and then, Guntur Karam will arrive on the 12th of the same month. Meaning, there will be a box office clash between these two biggies.
Luckily for them, these films are arriving for the lucrative Sankranthi season and thy could have a merry run if they gain the right word of mouth.
