In a shocking development inside the Andhra Pradesh assembly today, TDP MLA Dola Veeranjaneya Swamy was attacked and reportedly manhandled by the YSRCP MLAs.
Dola was reportedly attacked by the YCP MLAs while he was speaking against the controversial G.O no. 1 which obstructs political parties in Andhra Pradesh from holding public meetings. The placards that he was holding were snatched by the YCP MLAs and it lead to a heated clash.
Shocked to see our MLA Dr. Dola Swamy being attacked in the assembly by YSRCP MLAs. Today is a Black day for Andhra Pradesh because such a shameful incident has never happened in the hallowed halls of the assembly before.
This seems like a pre-meditated attack as a response to TDP’s clean sweep at the recently held MLC polls. Strongly condemn this dastardly act and demand immediate suspension of YSRCP leaders involved in the incident, Chandrababu tweeted about the incident.
As an aftermath, the speaker suspended 11 TDP MLAs from the assembly, saying they were creating a ruckus and thus leading to a hostile atmosphere inside the assembly house.
