In a new shock to Akshay, his latest film, Selfiee has been completely dismantled at the box office and it has ended up as an all-time disaster of epic proportions.
As per the latest box office reports, Selfiee has collected less than Rs 25 crores nett globally and has closed its theatrical run.
The production and publicity costs of Selfiee are said to be Rs 140 crores which is about standard for a film featuring an established superstar like Akshay Kumar.
The film has collected Rs 12 crores theatrical share globally by the time it closed the theatrical run and this would mean that it barely recovered the publicity and travel expenses of the lead cast.
This will now go down as one of the biggest lost ventures ever in the history of Indian cinema. Akshay Kumar has truly set a staggering record with this film now.
