AR Rahman is widely popular across the globe for his Oscar award winning audio single - Jai Ho from blockbuster film - Slumdog Millionaire. But as per RGV, Rahman wasnt the one who composed this song.
"Rahman, another director friend of mine, and I were in a meeting together once. Rahman bought this tune to the table and asked the director if he liked it. The director fumed at Rahman after he told he didn't compose the tune and it is his fellow musician Sukhwinder Singh who did it."
"We didn't dwelve too deep into it back then and Rahman gave another tune to the director for his film and closed the issue. The song that had with him, that was composed by Sukhwinder Singh wasn't used then."
"Many days later, Rahman took out the song composed by Sukhwinder and sold it to Slumdog Millionaire. This song is the Oscar winning Jai Ho. In reality, Rahman didn't even compose Jai Ho and it was Sukhwinder, a person I closely know who did it" RGV said.
RGV has stated that Rahman wasn't the one who composed the Oscar winning and widely popular Jai Ho and this has spurred a huge debate on social media now.
