There’s no bigger commercial director in India than SS Rajamouli. He is a true blue commercial superstar director with thousands of crores gross to his name.
But the latest reports are suggesting that Rajamouli is set to stop working with other directors in the near future.
Apparently, Rajamouli has decided to produce his films on his own. After the film with Mahesh Babu, which will be funded by KL Narayana and this will be one of the last films of Rajamouli for other production houses.
Then there’s the prospective project with Sai Korrapati who has been with Rajamouli right from the start.
Once the project with Sai Korrapati happens, if it actually materializes, then that will mark the end of Rajamouli working with other directors.
Rajamouli intends to produce films on his own once these commitments are done. The idea is to take complete control if the business and marketing structure.
Rajamouli’s films are grossing more than Rs 1000 crores and this is clear indication of his sensationally good market. So, it’s only natural for him to try and take advantage of it by bankrolling his films on his own.
