Actor Shah Rukh Khan has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for the media and entertainment industry, expressing his support for the upcoming World Audio Visual Entertainment (WAVES) 2025 summit. Shah Rukh shared a message on X, stating that the WAVES 2025 summit would “champion and foster creativity.”
In response to PM Modi's tweet, Shah Rukh said, "I eagerly look forward to WAVES—a summit for the film and entertainment world to be held in India. It’s an event that celebrates our industry and recognizes its contribution to the Indian economy and its power as a soft influence... most importantly, it’s an occasion that promotes and nurtures creativity."
PM Modi had earlier tweeted, "India takes immense pride in the film and entertainment industry, which strengthens our economy and enhances our soft power. #MannKiBaat." In his address during the 117th episode of 'Mann Ki Baat', PM Modi announced the launch of the WAVES summit, emphasizing India's role as a hub for global content creation.
He shared, "Next year, India will host the first-ever World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit. The summit will bring together industry leaders and creatives from around the world, marking a significant step in establishing India as a global content creation hub. I’m also proud to mention that young creators will participate in this event."
