In a dazzling celebration of beauty and talent, Caitlin Sandra Neil, a 19-year-old Chennai-born Indian American teenager, was crowned Miss India USA 2024 at the annual pageant held in New Jersey. Caitlin, who is a second-year student at the University of California, Davis, expressed her desire to leave a lasting, positive impact on her community, with a strong focus on women's empowerment and literacy.
Having lived in the United States for the past 14 years, Caitlin's journey to winning the prestigious title is an inspiring one. With dreams of becoming a web designer, Caitlin also plans to pursue a career in modelling and acting.
The pageant, organized by the India Festival Committee (IFC), also saw other exciting victories. Sanskriti Sharma from Illinois was crowned Mrs. India USA, while Arshita Kathpalia from Washington won the Miss Teen India USA title.
Caitlin Sandra Neil was crowned by Rijul Maini, Miss India USA 2023, and Sanskriti Sharma was crowned by Sneha Nambiar, Mrs. India USA 2023. In the Miss India USA category, Nirali Desia from Illinois and Manini Patel from New Jersey were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The Mrs. India USA competition saw Sapna Mishra of Virginia and Chinmayee Ayachit from Connecticut taking the first and second runner-up positions, respectively. The Miss Teen India USA category had Dhriti Patel of Rhode Island and Sonali Sharma as first and second runners-up, respectively.
The pageant was a grand affair with 47 contestants from 25 states competing in three categories: Miss India USA, Mrs. India USA, and Miss Teen India USA.
