The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has unveiled a mega statue of Dr BR Ambedkar in Vijayawada earlier in the day yesterday. There was a huge public meeting to publicize the same.
"On the occasion of Dr. BR Ambedkar's statue unveiling which took place in our government today, Vijayawada seemed to reflect a sea of people. This statue erected by our government is a masterpiece of social justice."
"This statue is a standing as testimony to the social justice followed by our government in these 56 months. A statue of a social reformer and an immortal reformer who changed thousands of years of Indian social history, economic history and women's history was unveiled in Vijayawada today. " Jagan tweeted about the statue.
The statue took a construction cost of Rs 400 crores and it has a recreational area and food courts to cater to the youth and families that are to visit this massive construction.
