Four vehicles were involved in a fatal accident on Friday afternoon on northbound U.S. 75 in Anna, just north of FM 455. According to Anna police, the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. and resulted in the deaths of four individuals who were all in the same vehicle.
In addition to the four fatalities, at least three other people were injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. Multiple agencies, including Anna Fire Rescue, Weston Fire, and the McKinney Fire Department, responded to the scene. The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) has been assisting with drone mapping.
As Labor Day weekend travel begins, traffic on U.S. 75 is heavily congested, and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) advises drivers to exit at White Street. "Our thoughts are with the families of those affected by this tragic accident," the Anna Police Department said in a statement.
