Abhishek Sharma’s stellar performance in India’s 4-1 series win over England has earned him a major rise in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings. After smashing a quick-fire 135 off 54 balls in the fifth T20I in Mumbai, which included 13 sixes and became the highest score by an Indian in T20 cricket, Abhishek jumped 38 places to claim the second spot. He now trails only Australia’s Travis Head, who continues to lead the T20I batter’s rankings, with Abhishek just 26 points behind.
Meanwhile, India’s Tilak Verma dropped to third place, while Suryakumar Yadav remained in fifth. Hardik Pandya and Shivam Dube also saw climbs in the rankings, securing positions 51st and 58th, respectively.On the bowlers’ side, Varun Chakravarthy’s excellent performance against England earned him a rise to joint second alongside Adil Rashid. Ravi Bishnoi also improved to sixth place. Arshdeep Singh cracked the top 10 at ninth.
