Vijayawada Court has ordered a 14-day remand for Vallabhaneni Vamsi, a leader of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YCP), in connection with the kidnap of Satyavardhan, an employee at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office. Vamsi was arrested in Hyderabad and was brought to Vijayawada on Thursday night. After his arrest, Vamsi was questioned for over 8 hours at the Krishna Lanka police station before being presented before the court. The legal proceedings continued from 11 pm to 2:15 am, with the court ultimately granting the remand order.

Along with Vallabhaneni Vamsi, two other accused individuals, Lakshmipati and Krishnaprasad, were also remanded for 14 days. The police filed cases against all three under the Atrocities Act, which includes nonbailable sections. The case revolves around the kidnapping of Satyavardhan, a staff member of the TDP, and the accused face serious charges.
