The protestors entered Parliament premises wearing the jackets and chanting slogans accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of protecting billionaire businessman Gautam Adani, whose conglomerate has been under scrutiny due to reports of possible stock manipulation and financial mismanagement.
Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, stated that the protest aimed to highlight the alleged "unholy nexus" between the Modi government and the Adani Group. He criticized the BJP government for remaining silent on serious allegations against Adani, claiming the issue was not just about one individual but a larger problem of systemic corruption and favoritism.
