Nandamuri Balakrishna, the well-known actor and politician, has mastered the art of balancing two demanding professions: acting and politics. Serving as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Hindupur in Andhra Pradesh for three consecutive terms, Balakrishna, or Balayya, has proven to be a successful public representative while maintaining a strong acting career.
Despite his busy schedule in the film industry, where he recently enjoyed the success of his blockbuster Daaku Maharaj and is currently filming Akhanda 2, Balayya has consistently prioritized his responsibilities toward his constituency. He has worked tirelessly for the development of Hindupur, which is why he remains undefeated in elections, regardless of which party is in power at the state level.
On a recent visit, Balakrishna took part in several developmental activities for Hindupur and expressed gratitude toward the NDA government under Chandrababu Naidu for its support. He announced significant funds for his constituency, including 92 Crores for road repairs, 120 Crores for HNSS works, and around 850 Crores for irrigation projects aimed at supporting farmers in the region.
Balakrishna also praised the central government for its support to major projects like the Vizag Steel Plant, Amaravati capital construction, and the Polavaram project.
