The recently concluded "Prashasan Gaon ki Ore" campaign, conducted from December 19-24, saw the disposal of nearly three crore service delivery applications, underscoring the government's commitment to ease of governance. Spearheaded by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, the campaign focused on simplifying administrative procedures and ensuring faster delivery of services to citizens.
The campaign aimed to implement Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of making governance more transparent, efficient, and accessible at the grassroots level. Over 2.99 crore service delivery applications were disposed of, and 18.29 lakh public grievances were resolved, demonstrating the government's drive to optimize technology and improve transparency.
Running across 700+ districts in India, the campaign also highlighted the power of technology in transforming governance. By enhancing citizens' access to government services and improving the accountability of administrative systems, the campaign reinforced the need for a people-centric approach to governance.
The initiative was carried out across various states, with significant participation from districts in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Assam, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and more. It is considered India’s largest people-focused campaign for good governance, with an emphasis on the use of technology for greater citizen empowerment and efficiency in service delivery.
