Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed immense optimism for India's future, declaring that the country has entered its golden era of economic growth. Speaking at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, Naidu highlighted that India's economy is poised for significant growth, predicting it will register the fastest incremental GDP growth from 2028 onwards. He credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and emphasized the stability provided by India's democratic system.
Naidu discussed how the world now views India as an economic powerhouse, a shift from earlier skepticism, and stressed that India’s strengths in sectors like renewable energy and green hydrogen will be key to its future. He projected that India would either be the number one or two economy globally by 2047, backed by its youthful population ready to take on future opportunities.
With references to renewable energy, Naidu shared that India is aiming to add 500 GW of renewable energy capacity, with Andhra Pradesh contributing 165 GW. Furthermore, he pointed out India's rise as a technological leader, particularly in Artificial Intelligence, during its strong presence at WEF 2025. Naidu’s remarks reflect confidence in India’s growth trajectory, urging investors to seize the opportunity now or miss it forever.
