Late business tycoon Ratan Tata, who passed away on October 9, 2024, left behind a surprising inheritance. According to The Economic Times, one of the significant recipients of his fortune was Mohini Mohan Dutta, an entrepreneur from Jamshedpur, who received nearly Rs 500 crore in assets. This portion of the estate will be distributed only after undergoing probate, which is expected to take at least six months.Who is Mohini Mohan Dutta? Dutta, a key figure in the business world, co-owned Stallion, which eventually merged with Tata Services. Before the merger, Dutta held an 80% stake in the company, with Tata Industries owning the remaining 20%. Their relationship dates back to when they first met in Jamshedpur when Dutta was only 24 years old.
 

Although Dutta was relatively unknown to the public, he was reportedly close to Ratan Tata and the Tata family, with insiders claiming he had nearly a six-decade-long association with Mr. Tata.
