The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to postpone the UGC-NET December 2024 exam, which was originally scheduled for January 15, 2025. The postponement comes in light of the Makar Sankranti and Pongal festivals, with NTA stating it received requests to reschedule the exam in the interest of the aspirants.
A fresh date for the exam will be announced later, as confirmed by the NTA. However, the UGC-NET exam scheduled for January 16, 2025, will proceed as planned.
This decision was made to ensure that candidates can observe the festivals without the conflict of an important exam date.
