The decision also sets the framework for ICC events until 2027, ensuring that India will play its matches in neutral locations when needed, such as in the 2026 men’s T20 World Cup, where Pakistan's matches will be held in Sri Lanka. This hybrid arrangement allows both nations to avoid travel issues while continuing to participate in major tournaments.
In the women’s ODI World Cup, India will host the event in October 2026, and the arrangement for India to play against Pakistan in neutral venues is still under discussion. The schedule for the 2025 Champions Trophy, which has been delayed, is now expected to be released soon, following these decisions.
