The Sanwaliya Seth Temple in Rajasthan's Chittorgarh recently witnessed an extraordinary wave of donations, making headlines for its record-breaking collection. Among the remarkable gifts were ₹23 crore in cash, a 1kg gold biscuit, and several smaller gold biscuits. Devotees also contributed unique silver items, including a silver pistol, silver handcuffs, and even a pure silver lock and key. These offerings highlight the deep devotion of followers of Lord Krishna, showcasing the temple's importance as a major pilgrimage site.
The counting of donations at the temple is a meticulous process, taking place over several phases. In the first phase, ₹11.34 crore in cash was counted, followed by ₹3.60 crore in the second phase and ₹4.27 crore in the third phase. As of now, ₹19.22 crore has been tallied, with more to come in the remaining phases. This regular treasury count, carried out during the Amavasya (new moon) each month, is expected to span 6-7 phases due to the overwhelming volume of contributions, which are received through donation boxes, online channels, and the temple’s gift rooms.

The temple's history dates back to 1840, when a divine dream led a milkman to uncover three idols of Lord Krishna in a village.
