Following the arrest of Hindu priest Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari in Dhaka, protests have erupted across Bangladesh, particularly in Chattogram. ISKCON Bangladesh condemned the arrest and the subsequent violence, calling for justice and an end to discrimination against Hindus. The government of Bangladesh has responded to the situation, with the Foreign Ministry stating that the issue is an "internal affair" and rejecting India's condemnation of the arrest. The situation escalated after the killing of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif in Chattogram, with authorities detaining at least 20 individuals in connection to the murder.
