Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi and leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), has made a bold prediction for the Delhi Assembly Election scheduled for February 5. Kejriwal forecasted that his party could win up to 55 seats out of the 70, with a possibility of securing more than 60 seats if women voters participate in full force and convince the men in their households to vote for AAP. During a roadshow in Kalkaji, Kejriwal made a direct appeal to women, emphasizing that the election was critical for them, and urged them to convince their families about the AAP’s commitment to the common people.
In the 2020 Delhi Assembly Election, AAP had a dominant victory with 62 seats, while the BJP secured only 8, and Congress failed to win any seats. The upcoming elections have been highly competitive, with the AAP facing off against the BJP and Congress in a fierce contest defined by intense campaigning and political jabs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP have also been campaigning aggressively, targeting Kejriwal and AAP’s policies. The campaigning for the elections came to an end on Monday, as per the Election Commission's Model Code of Conduct.The results will be announced on February 8, with high expectations from all major parties, especially the AAP, who is confident of maintaining or even increasing its seat count.
