Ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025, a video has surfaced showing India’s flag missing from Karachi’s National Stadium, where all other participating nations’ flags are displayed. The video, which has gone viral on social media, has left cricket fans puzzled, raising questions about the exclusion of India’s tricolor. The authenticity of the video, however, is yet to be verified.
Speculation suggests that the absence of the Indian flag could be due to the fact that Rohit Sharma and his team will play all their matches in Dubai instead of Pakistan. The Indian government denied travel approval for the team to Pakistan, citing security concerns, leading to a venue change for all of India's games, including the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash on February 23 in Dubai.
Meanwhile, the Indian team arrived in Dubai on February 15 and has begun training ahead of their first match against Bangladesh on February 20. Players including Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya, and Rishabh Pant were seen in action, with Pant receiving a minor blow from Pandya’s powerful shot during practice. As the Champions Trophy nears, all eyes are now on India’s campaign in Dubai and their performance on the big stage.
