In a significant update, the Moinabad police arrested five additional individuals, including two women, in connection with the attack on CS Rangarajan, the head priest of Chilkur Balaji Temple. Kovvuri Veer Raghava Reddy, the founder of the Rama Rajyam organization, had already been arrested and remanded in the case. The police investigation revealed that Raghava Reddy had been demanding financial support from Rangarajan and sought his involvement in recruiting people for the "Rama Rajyam Army."
 

Raghava Reddy, who founded the Rama Rajyam organization in 2022 through social media platforms like Facebook and a YouTube channel, encouraged followers to join his cause by promising a salary of Rs. 20,000 per month. He posted Bhagavad Geetha slokas and motivational content to recruit members for the army, with promises of uniforms and financial support. On January 24, a group of 25 people met Raghava Reddy at Tanuku, and after a few days, they traveled to Kotappakonda, where they contributed Rs. 2,000 each and had uniforms stitched.
 

In February, these individuals met again in Hyderabad, where they posed for photos and videos in their uniforms with the organization's backdrop. The following day, they traveled to Chilkur and attacked the head priest, threatening him before the assault. The arrested individuals were produced before the court and remanded as the investigation continues.
 

In a statement released on Monday, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan condemned the recent attack on CS Rangarajan, the head priest of Chilkur Balaji Temple, calling it an assault on the preservation of Dharma rather than just an individual. The attack, which occurred in Hyderabad, was reportedly carried out by a gang claiming to be associated with the Ramarajyam organization. Kalyan expressed his strong disapproval of the incident, emphasizing that Rangarajan’s efforts in preserving religious traditions and safeguarding temples make the attack even more concerning.
 

Kalyan called for a thorough investigation into the real motives of the perpetrators, highlighting that the attack wasn’t simply a personal assault but an attack on the core values that Rangarajan has long championed. He urged the Telangana government to take swift action and punish those responsible, particularly the members of the Ramarajyam group.
 

Furthermore, the Deputy Chief Minister directed the Jana Sena party's Telangana unit to visit Chilkur Balaji Temple to extend their full support to Rangarajan during this difficult time. Kalyan reiterated the importance of preserving temples and their traditions, stating that Rangarajan’s work in temple protection has earned him respect and admiration.
