The initiative offers free access to the life-saving Tenecteplase injection, a crucial treatment in the first hour following a heart attack. This medication, which typically costs between ₹40,000 to ₹45,000, will now be provided to the underprivileged at no charge, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent timely medical intervention.
 

Addressing Rising Heart Attack Cases: In recent years, heart attacks have become more prevalent, affecting people of all ages, regardless of their financial background. While wealthier individuals can access treatment, the poor often face barriers such as high medical costs and the inability to reach hospitals in time. In rural and remote areas, this challenge is even more pronounced, and by the time victims arrive at the hospital, it's often too late. With the free provision of Tenecteplase, the government aims to bridge this gap and improve survival rates by ensuring timely treatment in critical situations.
