Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath strongly condemned the recent attacks on religious sites, including those in Bangladesh, during a speech at a 'Katha program' in Ayodhya. He referred to these attacks as part of a larger conspiracy to create chaos by desecrating religious places linked to Sanatan Dharma. The CM pointed to the destruction of Hindu temples in various countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh, questioning the motivations behind such acts. He stated that these were attempts to "make hell on earth" but reassured that the descendants of those responsible for these acts would eventually face consequences.
Adityanath reiterated that Sanatan Dharma is the only true path to global peace, stressing its significance in preserving religious harmony and cultural integrity. He also participated in the 'Ashtottarshat 108 Srimad Bhagwat Paath, Panch Narayan Mahayagya' in Ayodhya, hoping that the event would purify the environment and protect India and Sanatan Dharma. He expressed his wish for all followers of Sanatan Dharma to receive the spiritual benefits of this sacred event.
The CM also reflected on ongoing legal cases related to religious sites in Ayodhya and Mathura, including the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi in January 2024, and the Krishna Janmabhoomi dispute in Mathura. He noted the rediscovery of a Shiv-Hanuman temple in Sambhal, which was recently opened to the public after being found during an anti-encroachment drive.
