Pakistan Launches Fresh Attack: Missiles, Drones Hit Jammu, Pathankot
Tensions between India and Pakistan surged again on Thursday evening as Pakistan launched a fresh series of strikes targeting strategic areas in Jammu and Kashmir and parts of Punjab. In a rapidly developing situation, RS Pura, Arnia, Samba, Hiranagar, and Pathankot have come under coordinated attack involving drones, missiles, and heavy artillery fire. Visuals shared by local residents on social media platforms showed bright streaks of light across the night sky, believed to be Indian interceptor missiles actively engaging incoming threats.

The Indian Armed Forces have confirmed that they responded immediately to Pakistani aggression along the Line of Control (LoC). The response came amid reports of sustained shelling in multiple sectors along the border. While the full scale and impact of the attack are still being assessed, the frequency and intensity of the strikes mark a dangerous uptick in cross-border hostilities. The attack is believed to be part of a larger retaliatory move following India’s earlier Operation Sindoor, which targeted terror launch pads and infrastructure inside Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. In light of these developments, India's border security units were already on high alert, enabling a prompt and coordinated defence using interceptor systems.
