Music critic Lee Hildebrand writes that she is “easily the most dynamic blues and soul woman to have emerged in the Bay Area since Etta James came out of San Francisco’s Fillmore District in the ’50s.” With seven Blues Music Award nominations to her name, Odabi holds her own amid those kinds of comparisons. Her upcoming album is set to release in the Spring of 2024.
