Welcome to Sacred Hands: A Jugalbandi Dance Dialogue Between Bharatanatyam and Igal! Join us for a mesmerizing fusion of two beautiful dance forms on Saturday, June 7th at 1:30PM & 5PM at the Kennedy Park Amphitheater in Union City.
Experience a dynamic fusion of movement and history in this jugalbandi performance, where the intricate hand gestures of Bharatanatyam meet the flowing expressions of the Sama dance form Igal. Through this rhythmic conversation, we explore how cultural knowledge is passed down, preserved, and transformed through migration—both forced and voluntary.
