At fifty-nine, Brooke Shields feels more comfortable in her skin and more empowered, confident, and free than she did decades ago in those famous Calvin Klein ads. In Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old, she flips the script on what it means for a woman to grow older. This is an era, insists Shields, when women are reclaiming agency and power in the prime of their lives, not receding into the shadows. Weaving together her own experiences with research and reporting, Shields takes aim at the systemic factors that contribute to age-related bias to spark a new conversation about the power and promise of midlife.
Shields will be in conversation with Dr. Sharon Malone, an OB/GYN, Certified Menopause Practitioner,Chief Medical Advisor at Alloy Women’s Health which focuses on women over 40, and the author of the NewYork Times bestseller, Grown Woman Talk.
