A property dispute within the Manchu family has led veteran actor Manchu Mohan Babu and his son Manchu Manoj to appear before the Ranga Reddy District Collector in Telangana. The hearing took place at the district-integrated office in Kongarakalan, Ibrahimpatnam, to address ongoing conflicts over family assets.
Mohan Babu had previously petitioned for protection under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, accusing his son Manoj of unlawfully entering his residence in Jalpalli village, Balapur mandal, and demanding control over the family properties. As a result, the Ranga Reddy District Additional Collector summoned Manoj to present his side.
During the hearing, Mohan Babu strongly asserted that no one had rights over his self-acquired properties and demanded that Manoj return the assets in question. He accused his son of illegally taking over the properties and insisted on resolving the matter through legal channels.
On the other hand, Manchu Manoj denied there was any property dispute. He explained that his concerns stemmed from the alleged mismanagement of the family’s educational institutions and trusts. Manoj also claimed that he had been sidelined by his father and brother, Vishnu, and questioned their financial decisions, citing their ability to fund big-budget films despite claiming financial distress. He emphasized that his intentions were not for personal gain but for the betterment of the students, family members, and relatives associated with the institutions.
