Vishal, a familiar face to Telugu audiences through his films like Pandem Kodi and Abhimanyudu, has struggled to achieve consistent success with his dubbed films in the Telugu market in recent years. Now, he is hoping to turn things around with his upcoming release, Madha Gaja Raja, which will hit the Telugu screens on January 31.
Directed by Sundar C, Madha Gaja Raja is a commercial comedy entertainer that was initially slated for release in 2013 but faced multiple delays over the last 12 years. Finally, after overcoming numerous hurdles, the film was released during the 2023 Pongal season and became a big success in Tamil Nadu. Building on this success, the makers are now hoping the film can replicate its triumph in the Telugu market with a dubbed version.
Despite the success in Tamil, Vishal doesn’t currently have a strong market in Telugu, and the film has not been heavily promoted in the region.
