Popular Telugu film producer Naga Vamsi, known for his back-to-back hits, recently faced a setback with his upcoming project, NBK109, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna. Despite securing a lucrative OTT deal, Netflix revised its terms, reducing the payment by Rs 5 crore due to the film's delayed release.
NBK109, an action drama directed by Bobby, was initially slated for release during the Dussehra season in 2024. However, missing both Diwali and Christmas release windows, the OTT dynamics changed. Netflix's revised terms reflect the platform's strict policies, offering substantial payments for timely releases. Recent examples include Ravi Teja's Mr. Bachchan and Swag, which streamed on OTT within weeks of their theatrical releases.
