Selena Gomez, the actress and singer, shared that she learned about her Emmy nomination only after receiving a text message from a friend, as no one else had informed her at the time. In an interview with US TV show Extra, Gomez explained, "I got a text from a friend saying 'congratulations,' and my initial response was, 'For what?' My friend just laughed at me, so I didn't fully understand for about an hour. Then my team called me. It was through them that I finally got the news, and I was very, very excited." Gomez, who started her career as a child actress on Wizards of Waverly Place, later established herself in the music industry but made a major return to acting with the mystery comedy series Only Murders in the Building, according to femalefirst.co.uk.
