Amidst reports that director Harish Shankar is clashing with his mentor Puri Jagan and actor Raviteja is competing against the director who launched his career by releasing "Mr Bachhan" against "Double Ismart," Harish Shankar has provided some official clarity on the matter.
"Puri Jagan garu is a legend, and I cannot compare my stature with his. Due to some financial concerns, OTT issues, and other factors, we are forced to release our film against 'Double Ismart,' which had already locked August 15th as its release date. Even with this clash, there is no enmity between Puri Jagan garu and me. Although Charmme garu unfollowed me on Twitter, which I learned about through a meme and didn't check personally, I hope everyone understands the situation," explained Harish Shankar.
He added, "It is Sasi garu, the head of Mythri Movie Distributors, who asked us to release the film on the 15th, as they are the distributors of our movie."
Recently, Gulte.com confirmed that the clash between "Mr Bachhan" and "Double Ismart" is due to pressure from OTT platforms regarding the release date, and not because of any personal rivalry.
